Jan 11, 2019 | 11:02 AM

Jaskirat Sidhu, the semi-truck driver in the Humboldt Broncos bus crash in April, will have his sentencing take place outside of the Melfort Provincial Courtroom.

The Melfort Provincial Court Office confirmed to northeastNOW Sidhu’s sentencing will be held the Kerry Vickar Centre in Melfort.

Sidhu gave up his rights to a trial by pleading guilty to all 29 charges related to the crash, including 16 counts of dangerous driving causing death along with 13 counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm, during his latest court appearance on Tuesday, Jan. 8.

Judge Inez Cardinal said the Melfort Provincial Courtroom might be too small to hold the sentence hearing.
